Passenger Harness Overhaul
Passenger harness overhaul and repair.
One of the main problems tandem pilots face is that passenger harnesses wear out quickly — and that passengers are often short.
A harness that hangs too low catches the passenger’s feet, which prevents a clean and safe take-off and landing.
With the modification shown in the photos, we have eliminated these problems completely.
Since these harnesses are used so often, we also made a replaceable bottom protector that stops the underside from wearing out.
Sewing thread: six-ply UV-resistant poly-monofilament.
The fabric is a high-quality textured polyester. One of the protectors is made of the extremely durable, decorative material used for car boot liners. Thanks to the 10 cm, 30-density foam inside, it doubles as a portable seat for the passenger while waiting on the take-off.
All of this work was done by Albatros Fly Sport Design with quality, functional design, careful workmanship — and above all, with love.
